Safe Child Project
The Safe Child Project is being continued by Nalamdana with their own fund raising, as this is an area we are committed to for the long run. Originally this was a one year pilot project funded by Artventure, Singapore in 2008-9. But Nalamdana continues to address all key issues merging some of the project sites and delivering the much needed child rights messages to target children. The latest short film on Child safety was completed with our own funds and screened in a preview theatre on December 8, 2009 - Nalamdana's 16th anniversary Day.
Maya Changu
(The Magic Conch)
This is a short video film, created from one of Nalamdana's most popular drama's on child reights and child protection. The story directrly reached children at risk and explains how thay can be safe from sexual abuse. It also addresses the roles of parents and schools in dealing with this highly sensitive issue. Nalamdana plans to disseminate this film freely and hopes to raise funds for enough copies. Donations welcome
