This is a set of easy to sing songs in Tamil, created by girls, for girls, on personal hygiene, nutrition, right to education and the importance of good parenting. The CD is very popular and Nalamdana is making more copies to be given free among state run schools. Donations welcome.
Girls created an audio tape of ten songs - on rights,
importance of education and hygiene. The tape
was used to create dance competitions among
target peer groups - and prizes were given to best
teams. Learning through music and dance was fun!

Product description: Azhage is a professionally created tape of ten Tamil songs about HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support. They have been sung by the leading play-back singers of Tamil films. Impact evaluation studies of the tape have been conducted and are available upon written request.

How it can be used: Often used in dance competitions in schools and colleges, played over the public address systems in exhibitions and fairs and in long distance government and private state transport buses. It is also broadcast in All India Radio music programmes. Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society (TANSACS ) bought 1000 tapes for distribution to all NGOs funded by them.
